The spokesman of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that a new record has been set by the body. A record of 1.7 million people has registered for this year’s Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has completed the sale of 2017 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME, application document in grand style recording over 1.7 million candidates at the end of the site at 12 pm on Friday, May 5, 2017.

JAMB 2017 Statistics

We have registered a number that has never been done in the entire 39 years of existence of JAMB within a timeframe. Nigerians were skeptical.

The highest we’ve ever had was 1.5 million, and this year JAMB 2017 statistics is a record breaking so far in the history of JAMB UTME.

We will look at the system as far as possible and, if necessary, make adjustments to ensure a complete record of the registration and testing.

We are always sure of our systems and will continue to expand our boundaries of thinking to turn the board into an agency that Nigerians will be proud of.

JAMB wants to make it clear that it will continue to be very open in all its activities and will ensure inclusion in the areas of its finances.

Disclosing the actual number of registered candidates is a clear invitation to the public to know what the board has realized from the sale for this year and we are not bothered because we have nothing to hide in our stores. We are determined to make Nigerians proud.

The audit is transparency, and an agency carrying out such an anti-competitive review must be overboard throughout its life cycle.

As we commence the 2017 UTME from Saturday 13th May, we call on all Nigerians to give us the necessary support. We will do our best and where they will face challenges, we will work without hesitation to ensure that it is immediately corrected for candidates to have a smooth test.

Nigerians should note that there may be one or two challenges in some centers. But the most important thing is our ability to adjust urgently when they leave their faces behind them.

We use this opportunity to call patriotism. Let us learn to always support our agencies, they are not as bad as we always want quickly.

Nations are grown through innovation and there is no innovation when there is no test.

Please do not condemn quickly, but look at the end result and see how all of us can help the Nigerian formation of our dream.

We have decided to beat the cat so that other public inspection agencies can flourish.

We will also not be distracted by some highly placed Nigerians who have determined everything, for egoistic personal interest in what they have done, but which they no longer make through corrupt practices and others for sheer envy and personal resentment against actors in JAMB, to do painting all our processes even in childhood in bad light.

UTME Thank God, the number of entry and short period of time over the six months in the past has confirmed us. JAMB has now raked out of the sale of forms on Friday, May 5, in N8.5bn after the end of the registration for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

  1. The registration is quit OK,and Jamb is now regaining it’s standard. But the problem is that they need to work hand in hand with the higher institutions, especially the university to make sure that student secure admission because some student after scoring a higher mark and could not get admission get discouraged especially when they tried 2,3,4,times and they performance will definitely be low because they are already engage in either business or due to being out of school for years which can lead to increase in the number of area boys. Furthermore JAMB should also work with the ministry of education and the universities to increase the number of courses offered by some of the universities in order to increase the number of there admission
    Thank you
